To protect our community and maintain a trustworthy environment, we verify accounts that can clearly prove their identity, authenticity, and public relevance. The requirements below apply to all users requesting a verified badge.

Important: Verification confirms identity only and does not imply endorsement, partnership, or approval of content.

Who can apply?

Verification is intended for:

  • Individuals with a real and provable identity
  • Businesses, brands, and organizations with legal presence
  • Public figures and professionals with public relevance

How we review requests

Every verification request is manually reviewed. We may request additional documents or clarification and reserve the right to approve or decline applications at our discretion.

1. Identity Verification

Applicants must provide valid and unexpired identification documents.

Accepted documents

  • Government-issued ID
  • Passport
  • Driver’s license

For businesses & organizations

  • Business registration or incorporation documents
  • Tax identification number (EIN or equivalent)
  • Proof of domain ownership
Live selfie or video verification may be required to confirm identity.

2. Authentic and Ongoing Activity

  • Recent account activity within the last 30 days
  • Complete profile with photo or logo
  • Valid contact information
  • For businesses: active website or landing page
Accounts created solely for verification purposes are not eligible.

3. Public Presence and Reputation

Verified accounts must show a public presence to reduce impersonation risks.

  • Mentions in reputable media outlets
  • Professional profiles (e.g., LinkedIn)
  • Official social media accounts
  • Consistent search engine presence
Paid press releases alone do not qualify as public presence.

4. Account Safety and Compliance

  • No serious or repeated policy violations
  • No impersonation or fraudulent behavior
  • Two-factor authentication recommended
  • Accurate and honest profile information

5. Business Account Requirements

  • Registered legal business name
  • Official business address
  • Verified domain-based email address
  • Public website describing services
Proof of authorization may be required for representatives.

6. Document Review and Security

  • Documents must be clear and unedited
  • Cropped or altered files may be rejected
  • Additional verification steps may be requested

7. Behavior and Content Standards

  • No impersonation or misinformation
  • Respect intellectual property
  • No misuse of the verified badge

8. Rejection and Re-Application

  • Verification may be declined or removed
  • Updated documents may be requested
  • Re-application allowed after waiting period
